When you have standards, you produce work at a higher level and quality that most others in your field.
The downside is you also make your life more difficult because you won’t tolerate shitty work.
Some people will complain that you can be difficult to work with.
Ignore the whiners. Let them tap themselves out of the game.
Freshman year of design school there were 25 students in my class.
4 years later I graduated with 9 others.
Some left because they couldn’t meet the standards, others because they realized they didn’t truly love design, and some were just lazy.
Have standards. Don’t accept shitty. Stay vigilant.
